Bud Burnham

With an early career as an Art Director and Graphic Designer, Bud recieved over seventy-five awards for his work, including "Best of Show" from the National Society of Art Directors, as well as six prestigious "Hatch" Awards.

Since devoting his life to painting, Bud has been honored with the Grumbacher Award and has since been comissioned to do numerous portraits.  His work has since been shown at galleries throughout New England and hangs as part of the permanent art collection at Brandeis University.

VIVA ITALIA !   The Sherborn Inn invites you to come and enjoy being “honorary Italian” with a festive Italian lunch followed by entertainment by soprano Ruth Harcovitz. This event will take place at the Sherborn Inn on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, with lunch beginning at 11:30 AM. 

Ms. Harcovitz’s program, The Sunny Skies of Italy , celebrates Italian Heritage Month and features Italy’s most popular export: Neapolitan song, from “O Sole Mio”, to “Funiculi, Funicula” to “Volare”.  This show has thrilled audiences all over the state with this universally popular music.

Ms. Harcovitz is well known throughout Massachusetts for her sparkling voice, warm personality, and numerous exciting programs.  She has been features with opera companies, appeared as soloist with orchestras, and in resorts.

On Wednesdays, the Sherborn Inn hosts a music program for seniors that includes a complete  3-course lunch and outstanding music by prominent musicians from Boston and beyond.

The program is offered the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

Lunch is served beginning at 11:30a.m. Music goes from noon until 2:00 p.m.

Admission is $22.00 which includes lunch, music, tax and gratuity.

Musical styles range from Dixieland and Swing to Jazz, Pop and Semi-Classical.

Senior Lunch Schedule

September 8th—DAVE WHITNEY brings his sweet trumpet and other musicians and vocalists to perform jazz and Dixieland classics.

September 22nd—CLAFLIN HILL SYMPHONY led by  founder and director Paul Surapine on clarinet with several symphony musicians will be performing a variety of light classical and popular selections from Bach and Debussy to Gershwin and Porter.  Certainly a “Don’t Miss” performance!

October 13—The GOLDEN TONES well known seniors chorus from MetroWest bring their entertaining show of song, dance, music and skits to the Inn for an afternoon of good cheer. Mark your calendar, it’s their only appearance at the Inn this year!

October 27th—BILL AND BO WINIKER legendary leaders of the famous swing band.  The Winikers and other musicians provide a lively show featuring sing-a-longs dedicated to their senior audience along with classics that feature Bo on reed and Bill on drums.  Make your reservations early!

November 10th—DAVE WHITNEY and his group return for more classic jazz and Dixieland vocals.

November 24th—BILL AND BO WINIKER and friends are back to put you in the holiday spirit with their wide array of classical songs while the Inn puts you in the spirit with our special holiday dinner.

December 8th—The NEW BLACK EAGLES JAZZ BAND has a world-wide reputation having toured Europe many times. Their treatment of Dixieland classics is a treat for all music   aficionados.  They only appear a few times a year at the Inn,   so take advantage of their performance for the Senior Lunch Series.

December 22nd—The Christmas Show with BILL AND BO WINIKER.  The Winikers will be performing a special holiday show here at the Inn paired perfectly with a special Holiday dinner.
